Our Projects: Wine Country Villa Kitchen Remodel
Kitchen remodel
Our Wine Country Villa project is near and dear to my heart, as it began quite serendipitously! I initially met this client at a dinner party at High Point Market, and soon discovered their home was on the same street in Sonoma where I live. The property was a 1990’s Mediterranean in need of a refresh, and I immediately started throwing out ideas over this fated dinner — with much excitement.
Since we started this project in the kitchen (which later led to a much larger renovation), I wanted to highlight that part of the project in the below post. The overall goal for the property was to make a timeless villa, good for entertaining, that felt modern yet was durable. The aesthetic is very similar to my own, which made it extra fun to design.
To transform the kitchen, we completely reworked the island and cabinetry. The custom solid wood and a marble countertop brought fresh life into the space, along with the repainted the cabinetry and updated trim work. We added a beautiful custom Tabarka tile backsplash over the stove for some visual texture. From there, we put in new wood flooring, and all new window coverings. Below I included the before and after so you can see it side-by-side (!). It was a big transformation and everyone was so happy with how it turned out. In the end, the incredible view from the kitchen sink came into view, allowing the surrounding natural landscape to shine.
I can’t wait to share the rest of this home renovation project with you, including the breakfast nook and bathrooms which have received A LOT of love on Instagram! Stay tuned!
xx
