Tucked beside acres of open space in Marin County, this full-home renovation transformed a dated 1980s residence into a warm, sophisticated family retreat thoughtfully designed for the way the clients truly live. Having lived in the home for many years before beginning the renovation, the project represented the realization of a long-awaited dream to fully reimagine the property into a more functional, elevated, and deeply personal home for their family.

What began as a kitchen remodel quickly evolved into a complete gut renovation as Fletcher Rhodes worked to redesign every space with comfort, livability, and timelessness in mind. Expanded gathering areas, layered natural materials, custom storage solutions, and thoughtful furnishings helped create a home centered around family life — from movie nights and board games by the fire to work-from-home functionality and seamless everyday living. The result is a refined yet relaxed Marin County family home rooted in warmth, connection, and enduring California design.
