FR Picks: Sonoma Shopping Guide
Since opening The FR Collection Shop in Sonoma, we’ve been graced with visitors from all over the Bay Area AND all over the country. A question we get asked often is, “What other local design shops should I check out?” Here’s our handy guide to Sonoma shops we love to source from and shop, starting with our town’s most picturesque locale: our plaza square.
Old Town Sonoma Plaza Square
Chateau Sonoma
If you’re along the west side of the square, be sure to pop into Chateau Sonoma for antiques, gift items, self-care luxuries, tableware and linens sourced from France and beyond.
Jak W
On the south end of the square, you’ll find Jak W chock full of sustainable, ethically-made decor for the contemporary home, sourced from global craftspeople.
The Original Williams-Sonoma
Next head South onto Broadway and you’ll pass the O.G. Williams-Sonoma store with its adorably distinctive striped awning. It’s almost obligatory to pop in…when in Sonoma…
Villa Terraza
Two blocks south on Broadway you’ll find Villa Terraza with a bigger selection of outdoor patio furnishings than you’ll know what to do with.
Artefact Design & Salvage
A bit further south on Broadway, just past the Sonoma Train Town, Artefact Design & Salvage is a hotspot for Bay Area designers and decor enthusiasts looking for unique furniture, art, and one-of-a-kind collectibles.

Fat Pilgrim
Head even further south on Broadway to the edge of town for Fat Pilgrim, a “General Store” of Wine Country design, furniture, home-decor, gardening and gifts.
Sonoma Country Antiques
As you head out of town back towards the Bay, be sure to stop by town favorite Sonoma Country Antiques, a treasure trove of European antiques hand-selected by buyers for over 30 years.
Follow our guide and you’ll come to Sonoma for the good wine and good food, and leave with goodies for your home, yourself, your family and friends!
