High Point Market: Dawn Sweitzer Studio
High Point Market brings together 1000’s of creatives into one place, and provides the opportunity for us all to connect and invigorate one another. One such evening we had the pleasure of wining and dining with in-demand artist, designer, painter, and textile designer Dawn Sweitzer.
Dawn’s highly-coveted work has been featured and integrated by such brands as Ethnicraft and Anthropologie, (and an upcoming super secret project she wasn’t allowed to spill!). While Dawn’s whole vibe is uplifting and inspiring, one of her super powers I am in awe of are her MOOD BOARDS — they are art in themselves! Integral to her creative process, Dawn uses these multidimensional boards to conceptualize and develop ideas before executing them into her final pieces.
An example of her artistry commissioned for product design can be found in these Ethnicraft trays that are so beautiful that they often get displayed as an art piece on a wall. She really is a multi-talented craftswoman — she paints, she weaves, she pillows… the ultimate creative!
Thank you Dawn for the invite and the inspiration! This was one of the highlights of High Point for me. The opportunity to connect with women creatives was sorely missed the past two years.
